Mt. Mikuni is a 1,102-meter high mountain located on the western ridge of the outer crater rim of the Hakone mountains. The mountain straddles Hakone Town, Ashigaras County, Kanagawa Prefecture, and Susono City, Shizuoka Prefecture. It is one of the outer rim peaks of Mount Hakone. It is located on the western shore of Lake Ashinoko, and the Ashinoko Skyline road runs along its western side. There are views of Mt. Fuji and Lake Ashi from this trail. It can be reached from the south by the trail starting at Mori no Furai Hall (3.5h) or from the north via the Kojiri Pass above the Fukara watergates (2h).
