Park Volunteers

Park volunteers are members of the general public that take part in essential park activities such as; trail maintenance, nature surveys, cleanup activities, and as hosts to visitors and groups. These people are registered as park volunteers for their dedication and contribution to the protection and maintenance of these protected natural environments. Volunteers are active in 25 of the 30 national parks in Japan and are an essential part of sharing the beauty, knowledge, and importance of these national treasures.
