Mt. Myojin is a 1,169-meter-high mountain located on the northern side of the Hakone outer rim mountain chain. It is the second most climbed mountain in Hakone after Mt. KIntoki. The size of the summit and the view are the reasons for its popularity and there are several routes to climb this mountain. From the summit you can see Mt. Fuji, the surrounding Hakone mountains, Sagami Bay, and the neighboring Tanzawa mountain range.
Among your options for reaching the peak are the “Long Trail Course” from Hakone-Yumoto Station via Mt. Myojin (3.5 hours), starting from the trailhead in Miyagino (95min), or approaching from Mt. Kinoki in the west (125min).
