The exterior of the hotel was modeled after the famous Byodoin Temple in Uji. All the materials were carefully selected to be of the highest quality, with an abundance of zelkova and cypress wood used. The exterior of the building is purely Japanese-style, but the guest rooms are all Western-style with beds, and the meals are French cuisine. Ryuguden combines the asthetics and history of Japan with modern comforts for a special experience.
