This unique botanical garden, which display most of the aquatic plants seen in japanese wetlands, was first established in 1976. The botanical garden is located in Hakone-Sengokuhara, 650m (2,200 feet ) above sea level.
Michinoeki (roadside rest area ) are public facilities along roads and highways. This facility has beautiful Lake Ashi and FUJI mountain views.
Narukawa Art Museum, by Lake Ashi in Hakone, was opened to the public in 1988.
This private museum possesses masterpieces of nihonga, Japanese-style paintings, collected energetically by museum owner Minoru Narukawa over the course of 20 years, including 200 pieces by Kyujin Yamamoto, recipient of the Order of Cultural Merit.
