Lake AshiBasque Cheesecake in Hakone

Basque cheesecake is different from other varieties like New York styles, Roman, and Philadelphia. The Basque cheesecake is most well known for having little crust and being baked quickly at high heat so that a hardened layer naturally forms. With roots in the northern coast of Spain and southern coast of France, Basque style cheesecake has gained popularity throughout the world. On the shore of Lake Ashi in Hakone, Japan is the Hakone Cheese Terrace using locally produced milk and high quality natural ingredients to make a wide and delicious menu.

From the resort town of Hakone, this cheesecake is made with fresh, rich milk from the local area of Minami Hakone. They offer moist and rich cheesecake that is easy to give as a souvenir, a memory of Hakone Ashinoko Lake, or as a special treat to enjoy while sitting on the shores of Lake Ashi looking at Mt. Fuji and the famous gates of Hakone Shrine.

 

The rich taste of cream cheese made with fresh milk from Minami Hakone and the original blend of cream cheese and the moist and dense texture will fill your mouth with a creamy taste that will satisfy you in just one bite. The base cheesecake is complemented by the seasonal flavors and assorted toppings available.

This is a special green tea cheesecake blended with a lot of Shizuoka green tea and rich cheese. It may not sound like a familiar combination, but the richness of matcha and the base cheese are very flavorful.

 

Strawberry

This cake is made with plenty of strawberry fruit, blended with rich cheese. The strawberries are blended with a rich cheese to create an unprecedented cheesecake with plenty of pulp.

Honey Nuts

Odawara City’s honey shop, Asa-Midori, uses only selected acacia honey from Akita Prefecture, and has locked in the savory flavor of five types of roasted nuts (almonds, walnuts, cashews, pecan nuts, and hazelnuts) in a clean, sweet taste!

Recommended for home use as well as souvenirs and gifts.

 

Cheese Tea

Enjoy the perfect balance of fragrant Earl Grey and homemade cheese foam made with cream cheese and rock salt for a sweet and sour taste.

This product can be served hot or iced.
