Hakone is one of the most famous places to see and meet Geisha. There are events throughout the year to give visitors a chance to see, interact, and experience this amazing part of Japanese culture and history.
After a closure to ensure the safety of visitors, Owakudani is now open again. You can visit and get close to the famed steaming vents of Owakudani in reserved groups from March 28, 2022.
Hakone has many hiking trails with different lengths and levels of difficulty. Each Hakone trail has a wonderful story and abundant natural sites to see along the way. Hakone has just released an English hiking map available at local stations and information centers.
The course acts as host to the CAT Ladies Golf Tournament for professional female golfers.
