Hakone has many hiking trails with different lengths and levels of difficulty. Each Hakone trail has a wonderful story and abundant natural sites to see along the way. Hakone has just released an English hiking map available at local stations and information centers.
Glide through the trees and nature
Celebrate the festive time of year with beautiful winter illuminations throughout the Hakone area. There are different museums and locations where you can see the wonderful lights during the winter season.
This unique botanical garden, which display most of the aquatic plants seen in japanese wetlands, was first established in 1976. The botanical garden is located in Hakone-Sengokuhara, 650m (2,200 feet ) above sea level.
Hakone is right next to Hakone. Access to the beautiful mountain is easy by car or bus and there are amazing spots to see Fuji from the peaks of Hakone. Visiting Fuji is one of the most popular things to do in Hakone.
Hakone`s Kosui Festival starts soon! Hakone has a week of festivities centered around Lake Ashi and the historic Hakone Shrine. The Hakone Summer Festival Week will be held from 7/31 to 8/5. This is a week full of festivities, fireworks, food stalls, and live performances. Each evening there will be a fireworks event on the shores of Lake Ashi.
